What need does our organization fulfill? Acts 1:8 Women grew out of a need to fund ministries and projects that are seeking to spread the Gospel.

Do I have to be a Christian to participate? Everyone is welcome, however, we require all participants to agree to our Statement of Principle which in outlined in our Membership/Commitment form.

Which organizations are allowed to be nominated? As it has become clear that many secular businesses will not fund projects and ministries that seek to spread the Gospel, the main focus of our efforts will be on individuals, ministries and projects that do just that.

When, how and where are our meetings held? Our meetings will be quarterly via zoom and held on a Monday evening at 7:00 pm (EST). Upcoming meetings – 30 minute Informational meeting- Monday, 9/25/23. Kick off meeting-Monday, 11/27/23. Monday, 2/26/24, Monday, 5/20/24, Monday, 8/26/24 & 11/24/24. We encourage and welcome guests and visitors so please be sure to register on our HOME page so you receive a zoom link for the upcoming meeting. *All members will automatically be sent the upcoming zoom link.

How is the organization that receives the donation chosen?
At these meetings our members (an Acts 1:8 woman) will be able to pitch/present based off the guidelines listed on our “How it works” page.

Can I vote if I cannot attend the meeting?
No. Only members in attendance may vote.

What if I cannot attend the meeting?
Your financial donation should be sent electronically to Acts 1:8 women through website, actsoneeightwomen.org. You can pay in advance or the day following our voting meeting.

Can I just send the donation to the charity myself?
The goal of Acts 1:8 Women is to make a meaningful impact by sending a large donation on behalf of the whole membership. We would love to bless a ministry or project $25,000 following each meeting.

Can I bring or invite a friend who is not signed up? We would love for you to invite a friend. Our meetings are hosted via zoom. You or your friend can just go to our home page and REGISTER their information so we can be sure they receive the zoom link through their email. We do not recommend sharing the zoom link. Our meeting presenter will only allow registered guests into the virtual meeting.

Can my employer give or match funds for a member gives to Acts 1:8 Women? Yes. we welcome corporate donations or matching funds. These however will not go towards membership dues. Please email any paperwork required to info@actsoneeightwomen.org and we will be happy to fill out and submit on your behalf.
